Rollover Crash on Drouillard Road Leaves Three Injured

minivan rolloverThree people were taken to local area hospitals following a two-car rollover accident on Drouillard Road around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.

At the intersection of Drouillard Road and Whelpon Street, an orange Jeep was headed eastbound on Whelpton when it collided with a Chrysler minivan that was headed Southbound on Drouillard. The Jeep slammed into the side of the minivan, which caused it to rollover onto its roof.

Police say that it appears the Jeep ran a stop sign. However, no formal charges have been filed.

Local firefighters extricated two people out of the minivan. None of the injuries were believed to be serious.

Drouillard Road was closed in both directions as accident investigators were at the scene to determine exactly what happened.

Intersection accidents are the third most common types of accident reported as motorists tend to run red lights, fail to stop at stop signs or fail to properly judge speed and distance. Intersection accidents typically lead to serious injuries and may be fatal as a result of the sudden force of vehicle impact.

While the victims of this intersection accident do not appear to have suffered serious injuries, it can often take days for accident injuries to emerge. The day after an accident, a victim may suddenly feel physical pain, the development of bruising, and signs of a possible concussion. While most people believe that a concussion diagnosis involves the loss of consciousness, this is not always the case.

At Greg Monforton & Partners, we are dedicated to fighting for the rights of car accident victims who have been hurt as a result of another drivers negligence.

Our goal is to help you obtain the compensation you deserve, as well as peace of mind as you recover from your injuries.
