Minimal information has been released about the crash, though one man was seen being transported to a local hospital for injuries.

On Sunday, Nov. 15, an accident on Manning Road in Tecumseh resulted in one person suffering life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews responded to the crash just south of Sylvestre Drive around 1:45 p.m. Police said that a Honda headed northbound collided with another passenger vehicle headed southbound. At least one person had to be extricated from one of the cars.

According to Ontario Provincial Polices initial investigation, the driver of the Honda lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centre line and struck the southbound car.

After the head-on accident, debris was scattered on the roadway while the Honda was left resting on the west-side ditch. Manning Road between E.C. Row Expressway and Little Baseline were closed for several hours.

The weekend is one of the most dangerous times on the road. About 41 percent of all auto accidents in 2012 in Ontario occurred between Friday and Sunday. The percentage of car accidents is also highest during the last two months of the year.
