Authorities from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department have provided details on a fatal auto accident that occurred on Thursday afternoon involving a 65 year old Windsor man named Mr. John McKee and his wife.
According to the report, a van being driven by a 35 year old Harrison Township resident (name withheld) veered into oncoming traffic and collided head on with Mr. McKee’s vehicle as he was driving eastbound on North River Road.
Both Mr. McKee and his wife had to be extricated from their vehicle and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Due to the extent of the injuries that he sustained, Mr. McKee passed in hospital on Sunday morning, while his wife’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
While the investigation is still under way, it is understood that the driver of the other vehicle had a suspended license and is expected to be charged by Police.
