Roadside Assistance Calls Soar In Cold Weather

In a report recently released by the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), it has been revealed that on January 7, 2014, more than 1,000 calls PER HOUR were received from stranded motorists in need of roadside assistance by the South-Central Ontario office of the Association.

By direct comparison, the daily volume of calls is generally 2,500 to 3,000 per day, with this recent spike being largely attributed to the recent Polar Vortex and the frigid temperatures that it brought to the region.
