According to Windsor Police, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle just before nine a.m. during the morning commute. The accident happened near Pillette Rd. and Wyandotte St. E.
The area has been reopened after it was closed for a half hour while police conducted an investigation. It is still early and Sergeant Steve Betteridge could not state the severity of the victim’s injuries from the collision.
A man who works at an office right in front of the site of the collision and was interviewed afterward said he is not surprised by a pedestrian accident, considering the high amount of foot and vehicle traffic in the area. He said he and his coworkers often see cars speeding and pedestrians crossing the road where they should not.
