Motorcyclist Suffers Fatal Injuries in Essex Collision With Vehicle

back of ambulanceA motorcycle rider has succumbed to injuries sustained during a collision late Monday morning in the Town of Essex. The collision occurred on County Road 18, just west of county Road 15. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Essex Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene after receiving the call at 11:48 that morning.

AM800 reported that the driver of the motor vehicle was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. The motorcycle rider, who was also transported to hospital, did not survive and was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement are helping Essex OPP with the investigation.
