SUV and Pickup Truck in Head-on Collision on Hywy 3
The crash reportedly involved an SUV and a pickup truck. The two vehicles collided at around midnight on Tuesday. The crash occurred on Hwy 3 between Cameron Sideroad and Marsh Road near Cottam in Kingsville.
The 24-year-old female driving the pickup truck sustained severe injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. The driver of the SUV, a 39-year-old man from LaSalle, was also transported to hospital. His injuries were life-threatening, and he was pronounced deceased of his injuries at hospital.
OPP Closed Hywy 3 to All Traffic for Several Hours
According to a news report, police were called to the scene just after midnight. OPP Const. Steven Duguay confirmed there was a head-on collision and that the two drivers involved were taken to hospital, including the 39-year-old who later died. The names of those involved have not been released.
Highway 3 was closed to all traffic between Cameron Sideroad and Marsh Road until approximately 1 p.m. later that afternoon.
