Driver Hits Two Parked Vehicles near Downtown Windsor

On Sunday, September 1, a motorist collided with two parked vehicles on Howard Avenue near downtown Windsor.

Near midnight, police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Howard Ave. to respond to an auto accident in which a moving Chevrolet Cobalt struck a black Chrysler minivan, which then knocked over a motorcycle parked next to it.

Two people in the moving Cobalt were sent to the hospital to be treated for injuries that were described as non-life threatening.

Reports indicate a woman was receiving treatment on a stretcher by Windsor-Essex Emergency Medical Services at the scene.

The Cobalt sustained damage to its front end on the passenger side. At the time of the report, firefighters were investigating the damage while the Cobalt lay in the middle of the road. Witnesses say debris was flung across the street between the Cobalt and the parked vehicles.

No further details are currently available, however, Greg Monforton & Partners will continue to monitor the status of the accident.
