Two hit-and-run crashes happened on late Wednesday afternoon in Windsor, including one involving a child on a bicycle. Police are asking anyone with details about either incident to call.

Motorcyclist Struck By Blue Sedan in Windsor Hit-and-Run
Police were called to a collision at College Avenue and Crawford Avenue at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Windsor News reported that the collision involved a motorcycle and another vehicle described as a small blue sedan. The sedan, who authorities say was being driven by a man, left the scene of the crash. He was last seen heading south on Campbell Avenue.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital with injuries that were considered non-life-threatening.
Child on Bicycle Struck By Hit-and-Run Driver
A child was also struck by a vehicle on Wednesday late afternoon. This incident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. near McNorton Street and Maitland Avenue. The unidentified child was riding a bicycle and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle was described as a dark blue sedan, which, reportedly, may have been a Lexus. The driver of the blue sedan stopped long enough to speak to the injured child and other witnesses at the scene before taking off. The at-fault driver did not, however, contact police.
Talya Natyshak, the constable at the scene, said the child’s family members took the child to hospital for medical treatment.
Witnesses Asked to Contact Windsor Police Service
Witnesses with information about either of these hit-and-run crashes are being asked to contact Windsor Police. Investigators are also requesting that anyone with video footage, such as from a business surveillance camera, dash cam or smartphone, provide this footage to authorities.
