Tragic Collision in Chatham-Kent Claims Lives of Two Pedestrians

ambulance from the backOntario Provincial Police (OPP) closed on and off-ramps to Highway 401 at Queens Line following a fatal two-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the crash that killed two pedestrians just after 7 p.m. on Saturday. The crash occurred on Charing Cross Road and Horton Line in Chatham-Kent when a northbound vehicle struck two women, aged 66 and 68.

Despite life-saving efforts taken by emergency personnel, both of the victims died as a result of their injuries. A post mortem is scheduled to take place, and an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
