There were multiple deadly crashes in the London area over the weekend.
The first crash happened Friday night around 7 p.m. This was a single-vehicle accident in Elgin County close to Centennial Road. The 23-year-old victim was fatally injured after his vehicle crashed into a tree.
The second accident happened on Saturday afternoon. It was a motorcycle crash involving a 74-year-old rider. The incident occurred on Bluewater Highway, along the coastline of Lake Huron. The rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The police are currently investigating the reason for the crash.
The third fatal crash happened on Saturday evening. A motorcyclist was killed in a Thames Centre crash with a passenger vehicle. This happened at Plover Mills Road and Prospect Hill Road. The police arrested the 49-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle.
These two motorcycle collisions are the third and fourth fatal motorcycle accidents in Southwestern Ontario within the last month. One of the four collisions resulted in two deaths.
The OPP are urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward as investigations continue.
