SUV Crash in Windsor Leaves Two People With Life-Threatening Injuries

ambulance in trafficTwo people were transported to the hospital Monday morning with critical injuries after the SUV they were riding in struck a light pole and crashed into a restaurant building.

According to Windsor Police, the accident occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of University Avenue between Campbell Avenue and Bridge Avenue.

A female was driving the silver Jeep Liberty with two male passengers. The driver and one man suffered life-threatening injuries and were rushed to the hospital, while the other man was also taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Luckily, no customers were inside the restaurant at the time of the collision.

The area was sectioned off while the Forensic Identification Unit and the Traffic Reconstruction Unit investigated the accident. The exact cause of the crash is still unknown.
