Greg Monforton to be Recognized at OTLA Celebration of the Personal Injury Bar

greg monforton head shotGreg Monforton & Partners is proud to announce that our founding partner, Greg Monforton, has been selected to receive the plaintiff bar award at this year’s OTLA Celebration of the Personal Injury Bar.

For the past 17 years, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) has been recognizing leaders of the plaintiff and defence personal injury bar at its Celebration of the Personal Injury Bar. This is an exclusive, black tie event in Toronto attended by a “Who’s Who” of Ontario’s legal, political and insurance world.

One plaintiff lawyer and one defence lawyer are chosen annually to be honoured at this prestigious event. Prior winners include these legal heavyweights: Earl Cherniak, Q.C., Roger Oatley, John McLeish, the late Martin Wunder, Q.C., Phillipa Samworth, Jim Vigmond and Paul Harte.

Throughout his career, Monforton has fought tirelessly against multi-billion dollar corporations whose motive is to deny his clients what they rightfully deserve. He has built a law firm that is now widely recognized throughout the province.

Monforton has also dedicated countless hours and energy supporting the efforts of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, serving initially on the Board of Directors, and then as President of the organization. He continues his support of OTLA through presentations at conferences, webinars and lobbying efforts on behalf of accident victims and their families.

Monforton will receive his award on Friday, November 15, 2019, with the evening beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at about 10 p.m. The event will be held at the InterContinental Hotel Ballroom on Front Street in Toronto.

On behalf of the firm, congratulations to Greg Monforton on receiving this honour!
