One Motorist Hospitalized After Crash On County Roads 31 and 18 in Leamington

one person injured in crash in leamingtonOne person was taken to the local hospital on Wednesday morning, April 15th, with non-life threatening injuries after an accident at the intersection of County Roads 31 and 18 in Leamington.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Essex County responded to the scene at about 8:30 a.m. A black truck and a white car were involved in the crash.

The impact caused both vehicles to sustain serious property damage. The black truck sustained damage to the front and entire left side of the driver and passenger doors. The white car sustained a smashed front end, causing the driver’s airbag to deploy.

The intersection of County Road 31 and County Road 18 remained closed for some time before being re-opened to traffic. The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time.
