According to the Ontario Provincial Police in Leamington, five people were injured in a serious two-vehicle crash on Essex Road 14 at approximately 8:47 a.m. Monday morning.
The driver of a minivan heading south on Essex Road 14 failed to observe a stop sign and subsequently struck an SUV carrying four other occupants.
All five persons involved in the two-vehicle collision suffered injuries and were transported to hospital for further examination and treatment.
The OPP closed a portion of Essex Road 14 between Kent Road 1 and Highway 77 while they investigated the cause of the crash.
