A 70-year-old motorcyclist sustained critical injuries after being rear-ended by another motor vehicle in Amherstburg this past weekend.

The crash happened around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night on Front Road North in the 2100 block, just south of River Canard.
Windsor police were called to the scene just after 9 p.m. Sunday night. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital and is being treated for severe, life-threatening injuries.
According to a news report, the driver of the vehicle that struck the motorcyclist remained at the scene. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
