A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Sunday night with life-threatening injuries following a crash involving a motorcycle and a minivan.
The Windsor Police were called to the scene on Grand Marais Road East and Meldrum Road, near Windsor Assembly Plant, at around 7:45 p.m. The black motorcycle sustained heavy damage while the minivan, a blue Chevy Orlando, sustained damage to its driver side.
The motorcyclist was rushed by paramedics to the hospital where he is in critical condition. The driver of the minivan alongside one passenger remain uninjured.
The intersection was closed for several hours in order to investigate and reconstruct the accident scene. The roadway was reopened shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday.
