A driver working for the City of Windsor has been charged by Police after he allegedly hit an elderly woman that was crossing at the intersection of Temple Drive and Central Avenue.
According to sources, the 60 year old driver has admitted that despite seeing the 79 year old woman crossing the street, he was unable to stop in time, with the force of the accident resulting in a fractured pelvis for the pedestrian.
Police are currently asking any witnesses to please come forward with any additional information by calling Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.
