An 18-year-old cyclist was hit by a passing car at Wyandotte Street East and Glengarry Avenue Friday morning.
Police say the accident took place at approximately 7:50 a.m. on September 12. The cyclist was transported to the hospital for his injuries, which were said to be non-life threatening, after firefighters treated him at the scene.
The driver of the car that struck the cyclist was not injured. The intersection was closed for roughly two hours Friday morning and is now open and maintaining a normal flow of traffic.
No further details were available as to the identity of the cyclist or the driver, but Greg Monforton & Partners will continue to monitor the story and report on additional information as it is revealed.
