Boy Airlifted to Hospital After Wallaceburg Accident

patient-transport helicopterA three-vehicle accident last Thursday in Wallaceburg involved five people, four of whom were treated for injuries. One of the four was a six-year-old boy who was taken to the Sydenham District Hospital, then airlifted to a London hospital for further treatment.

One of the other injured persons was also taken to the Sydenham hospital; the other two who were injured were treated at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in Chatham. One of the drivers was not injured.

The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Dufferin Avenue near Forhan Street. Police are looking for further witnesses or information.
