Boy in Critical After Chatham Car Accident

car accident lawyer greg monfortonA 12-year-old Chatham boy was injured by a passing car on Grand Ave. West at approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

Police say the boy was transported to a London hospital by airlift, where he remains in critical condition. The accident is under investigation, and police are currently seeking witnesses.

As the winter months grow nearer and roads become more dangerous for drivers, Greg Monforton & Partners would like to remind motorists to travel cautiously. Icy roads can exacerbate the risk of crash in certain circumstances, or even initiate an accident entirely; snow, rain or other inclement weather can make visibility difficult.

Be a responsible driver this season and ensure that all lights and signals are in proper working order in your vehicle. Always look out for oncoming traffic and be generous with the right-of-way it’s safer to yield than to make a snap decision and pull out in front of a car.

We wish the boy a speedy recovery from his injuries, and hope that every Windsor driver remembers to take a few precautions you could end up saving a life!
