Our partner Jennifer Bezaire has been elected to the board of directors of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA).
OTLA is an association of more than 1,500 plaintiff lawyers and works to ensure full and fair protection of the rights of those who have suffered injury.
Jennifer has been an active OTLA member since 2005, co-chairing two semi-annual conferences and contributing numerous published articles in OTLA’s The Litigator.
Jennifer said: “…over the years I have benefited tremendously from my membership in OTLA. I now want to give back and join the never-ending fight on behalf of innocent accident victims. Until OTLA arrived on the scene in the early ’90s, powerful insurance companies had no organized opposition to their insatiable desire to raise premiums while denying benefits to injured people.”
The last local lawyer to serve on the OTLA board of directors is our very own Greg Monforton, who became president of the board in 2005.
Jennifer focuses her practice exclusively on plaintiff personal injury law with emphasis on catastrophic injury claims and statutory accident benefits. She also teaches Auto Insurance Law to second- and third-year law students at the University of Windsor Law School.
