Partner Jennifer Bezaire has been appointed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario to the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for Auto Insurance Products.
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority exists to help protect consumer rights within regulated financial sectors. The FSRA works to achieve this by setting and promoting higher standards of business and increasing transparency to consumers.
What is the Technical Advisory Committee?
TAC is a special-focus committee charged with specific tasks, including:
- Researching and identifying issues with consumer auto insurance products
- Prioritizing known problems and advising Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) about potential solutions that could benefit consumers
- Weighing the benefits and harms of TAC against transparency, ease of use and other principles
- Presenting recommended solutions to FSRA that benefit consumers
