At the law offices of Greg Monforton & Partners, we are proud to announce that Mr. George King, a good friend of the firm and a highly respected labour lawyer in Windsor, was sworn in on Friday as a judge of the Superior Court of Ontario.
Taking oath in front of presiding Superior Court Justice Frank Marrocco and Madame Justice Renee Pomerance, Justice King became Windsor's newest judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Our partner Jennifer Bezaire was asked by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) to be its representative and gown for the swearing in ceremony in order to offer OTLAs greetings & congratulations to Justice King.
The photo in this blog post, taken at Fridays swearing in ceremony at the Windsor Courthouse, depicts (from left): Windsor corporate lawyer William Willis, his wife Dina Mejalli (a senior associate lawyer at Greg Monforton & Partners), Justice George King and Ernie Eves (former Premier of the Province of Ontario).
Congratulations to Justice King. He is a much needed addition to our local bench and he is certain to be a brilliant jurist.
