A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon with non-life threatening injuries following a hit-and-run crash.
The Windsor Police were called to the scene on Dougall Avenue at the E.C. Row Expressway at about 12:45 p.m. The motorcycle was traveling northbound on Dougall Ave when it was hit by a southbound car attempting to make an illegal U-turn.
The motorcyclist was injured in the crash and the suspected vehicle, possibly a red Chevrolet Impala, was last seen leaving the accident scene without stopping. Windsor Police have made public surveillance footage showing the red four-door sedan involved in the hit-and-run accident with the motorcyclist, but the actual crash took place just out of camera view.
The police continue to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information about the identity of the driver of the red car to please call traffic investigators at 519-255-6700 ext. 4000 or send anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 or www.catchcrooks.com.
