Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Heritage Road in Kingsville

police respond to fatal pedestrian collision Police are investigating a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian collision that happened in Kingsville Monday afternoon.

According to BlackBurnNews.com, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Kingsville Fire Department and Essex-Windsor EMS were all called to the scene on Heritage Road at about 12:05 p.m.

A 69-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while gardening in her front yard. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Heritage Road between Harold Cull Drive and Conservation Boulevard was closed for several hours while the police processed the scene.

The driver has not been charged at this time, though the investigation is still ongoing.
