Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 3 in Kingsville

fatal motorcycle crash in kingsvilleA 50-year-old Kingsville resident is dead and one person is left uninjured after a crash on Friday morning.

The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the accident scene on Highway 3, west of County Road 29, in Kingsville at around 10:30 a.m. The driver of the motorcycle was traveling westbound when he collided head-on with a commercial vehicle going eastbound.

The motorcyclist was taken to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured in the crash.

The scene on Highway 3 between Belle River Road or County Road 27 and Division Road was closed for about six hours in either direction. The road was reopened just before 4:30 p.m. The OPP continue to investigate the incident.
