A 40-year-old man from Windsor is dead and a 34-year-old woman from Chatman was hospitalized after a serious crash on Thursday morning in the small community of Lakeshore, just outside of Toronto.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the accident scene where two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 77 and Lakeshore Road 310 at around 10:30 a.m. The driver of the first vehicle was taken to the hospital but was fatally injured and the driver of the second vehicle was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no passengers in either of the vehicles.
The intersection was closed for about six hours to investigate the accident scene. No charges have been made and the cause of the crash is being investigated.
