A driver sustained serious injuries in a crash in Tecumseh, Ontario last week. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)were called to the crash Friday afternoon, responding shortly after 3:30 p.m. Along with the OPP, Essex-Windsor EMS, and Tecumseh Fire and Rescue also attended the scene.
The crash, which involved just one vehicle, happened on Manning Road, south of County Road 22. When police arrived at the scene, they found the driver trapped inside the wreckage. The OPP worked with Tecumseh Fire and Rescue to extricate the driver—the only individual involved in this crash— from the vehicle.
After being successfully removed from the vehicle, the critically injured driver was immediately transport to hospital. According to a news report, police closed Manning Road for several hours to investigate the scene. The road was reopened to traffic later Thursday night.
The investigation is ongoing.
