Dr. Christopher Waters Awarded Law Society Medal by the Law Society of Ontario

Headshot of Dr. Christopher WaterCongratulations to Dr. Christopher Waters on being awarded the prestigious Law Society Medal by the Law Society of Ontario for significant contributions to the legal profession.

Dr. Waters is a professor at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and is an international law scholar focusing on international humanitarian law. He spent nine years in leadership roles at Windsor Law, serving as Associate Dean (2009-2012) and Dean (2015-2021).

picture of the Law Society MedalDr. Waters has also been involved in a broad range of legal and community organizations including the Essex Law Association, the Canadian Red Cross, the Windsor Persian Cultural Centre and as guest curator of local history exhibits at Museum Windsor. Chris is also a dedicated cycling advocate and author of Every Cyclist’s Guide to Canadian Law and is dedicated to making streets safe for all.

Our founding partner and Regional Bencher Greg Monforton conferred The Law Society Medal on behalf of the Law Society of Ontario at an official ceremony at Osgoode Hall in Toronto on May 28, 2025.
