webinar on capacity issues in civil litigationThis afternoon, partner Jennifer Bezaire will be moderating an Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) webinar titled, “Navigating Capacity Issues in Civil Litigation” alongside Philippa Geddie of the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee.

The webinar will run from 12 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Registration is limited to OTLA members and is still open up until the start of the event. Participants can be eligible to receive up to 1.25 professionalism hours of Continued Professional Development (CPD) credits.

Program highlights include how to represent an impaired victim, types of capacity and incapacity, the process of appointing a litigation guardian, the role of a guardian, power of attorney and trustee as well as common mistakes to avoid when dealing with cases involving diminished capacity.

As an OTLA member, Jennifer has nearly two decades of experience in the practice of personal injury law. She has previously led a webinar on establishing a catastrophic impairment and has had multiple articles published in the OTLA publication, The Litigator.
