At 11 a.m. tomorrow, proceeds from the Charity Euchre Tournament in April will be presented to Windsor Regional Hospital in the first-floor presentation area at the hospital's Met campus. The charity event was held on April 25 at Windsor Star News Café and was sponsored by DMARehability and Greg Monforton & Partners.
The event raised $2,300 for Trauma Services at Windsor Regional Hospital. Approximately 120 people attended the event in April to take part in competitive rounds of Euchre until winners were determined. Money was raised through entry fees and other fundraising activities.
Card tables were sponsored by the following businesses:
- Allevio Pain Management
- Bartimaeus Rehabilitation Services Inc.
- Bayshore Home Health (Windsor)
- Casemark Financial
- Pinnacle Physiotherapy
"Everything went smoothly as anticipated," said Cheryl Scollard, director of marketing and operations for DMA Rehability-Potential in motion. Many people remember their Euchre skills, and this added to the fun, said Scollard.
Trauma Services was established in 1989 at the Ouellette Campus. The purpose is to provide care to those injured as a result of a vehicle accident, sporting event injury or any other injury to the body or brain that caused trauma-related neurological issues. Trauma Services' mission is to continue to have expertise in injury prevention, trauma research and education.
Our firm is proud to help support Trauma Services as it helps those who have suffered serious injury in traffic accidents or other situations. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make the Euchre tournament a success.
Our firm looks forward to co-hosting next year's tournament.
