On Friday, The Downtown Mission of Windsor visited Greg Monforton & Partners to thank our staff for donating our time and resources to supporting the organization and all that it does within our community.
The Mission is a local nonprofit organization that serves and advocates for those who are poor or homeless within our community. It provides a wide range of services to anyone who is in need of assistance, including those lacking basic necessities such as food, clothing or shelter.
The Mission provides daily meals, a food bank, a safe and warm place for the homeless to rest at night, and vocational and skills training to help at-risk populations develop the skills they need to overcome employment barriers.
All of these services are offered at no cost thanks to the generous support of the local community and businesses.
In the last year, the Mission:
- Provided nighttime accommodations for 12,775 individuals
- Served more than 265,000 meals
- Provided clothing for 8,500 individuals
- Provided training and help getting back into the workforce for more than 60 individuals
The entire staff at Greg Monforton & Partners generously donates their time to serving meals at the Mission. Additionally, all of the money raised from our “Denim Fridays” is matched by the firm and donated directly to the Mission.
We are grateful for the generosity of our staff and for their willingness to give back to this worthy cause.
