witnesses being sought after serious ojibway parkway crashWindsor police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed a serious single-vehicle crash on Ojibway Parkway on March 23rd.

According to the Windsor Star, the police and other emergency personnel responded to the street’s 4100 block in front of the Lou Romano Water Plant at about 2:45 p.m.

A red Pontiac Montana van was found on its side with extensive damage from hitting a utility pole. The driver, an unnamed man, was the only occupant inside the van.

Emergency crews were able to free the driver, who was trapped inside his vehicle. He was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for some time while the traffic unit attended and processed the scene. The exact cause of the crash is still unknown.

The police continue to investigate and are seeking witnesses who may have been driving in the area around the time of the crash. Anyone with a dashcam is being asked to review their footage for possible evidence.
