FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Windsor lawyer Dina Mejalli, a partner at Greg Monforton & Partners, Injury Lawyers, has been retained by the family of the late two-year-old Ethan Spada.
Ethan was killed and his mother Avery Parent was seriously injured on November 10, 2021, when their vehicle, proceeding easterly on County Road 42 in the Town of Lakeshore, was T-boned by a northbound vehicle which ran a stop sign and a flashing red warning light at Renaud Line.
Police have charged the driver of the northbound vehicle with multiple offences including dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving causing death.
Speaking for Ethan’s mother and her extended family, Mejalli said: “we have been asked by this devastated family to help them understand what happened and why it happened. Unfortunately, the police will not share any evidence with us until the criminal charges are resolved and so we are doing our own investigation of this tragedy and are looking for anyone who either witnessed the crash or were there in the aftermath. We are trying to assemble evidence before memories fade and witnesses disappear.”
Mejalli also said: “understandably Ethan’s family is crushed by these tragic circumstances, is enduring immense pain and they have asked us to thank the media for respecting their privacy at this time”.
Witnesses or media can contact Mejalli at this number: 519-258-6490.
