Michelle was born and raised in Toronto but has relocated, by choice, to Windsor and South Western Ontario. Prior to entering her dual degree law program, Michelle served as Registrar of the College of Denturists of Ontario as well as an Executive Member of the Council of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, Quality Assurance Coordinator of the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario, and as a member of the Federation of Health Regulatory Colleges of Ontario – specifically involved in the Ontario ‘fix’ to federal privacy legislation as it relates to health records.
Michelle was very active in local Toronto Conservative Party politics both provincially and federally in the electoral district of Don Valley West. Michelle served on several policy advisory committees under the Harris government including ‘Human Resources in Health Care’ which examined future needs for the various health care professions in the province and in developing strategies to ensure that those needs could be filled by qualified providers.
In her law studies in both Canada and the United States, Michelle focused on oral advocacy and civil litigation. She articled with the internationally based full-service law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, LLP.
Michelle proudly and with tremendous enthusiasm joins our personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability and class action litigation team. |
