Your Law Firm's Own Personal Injury Department

It is difficult, if not impossible, to keep up with statutory and judicial changes in all areas of the law. This is why I restrict my practice to the representation of individuals injured as a result of the negligence of others.

If the increasingly complex state of the law has led you to intensify your practice in non-personal injury areas, I write to invite you to use our law firm as your very own personal injury department. The Rules of Professional Conduct now allow us to pay a referral fee to you if you decide to refer a personal injury case to our offices. For the past few years we have honoured referral fee arrangements with a number of lawyers in Windsor, Essex, Kent, Lambton & Middlesex Counties.

Here are some of the reasons why lawyers often refer personal injury cases to us:

• we invest the time, hard work and expertise necessary to achieve the best results for their clients
• we respect our relationships with referring lawyers and will refer their clients back to them after concluding their cases
• we have more than 25 years' proven experience in representing victims of negligence, medical malpractice and other cases involving personal injury
• we honour financial obligations to referring lawyers

If you refer a client to our offices we will pay you a referral fee equal to 20% of the billed and collected fee charged by our firm. Payment to you will be made when the case is resolved.

Our lawyers have extensive experience in all areas of personal injury law including cases resulting from car accidents, occupiers’ liability (slip/fall), medical malpractice and disability insurance claims.

I have dedicated my career to advocating on behalf of injured people. In addition to significant trial experience I am also a Past-President of the Head Injury Association of Windsor/Essex County. For the past 7 years I have served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association (“OTLA”), an advocacy group dedicated to enhancing the rights of accident victims. I was recently elected to the position of Vice-President of OTLA and will serve as President of this organization in 2006.
