1 Killed, 2 Injured in Head-on Collision

Police were called to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. and stated that a Saturn travelling eastbound with two passengers struck the eastbound shoulder of Highway 3, overcorrected and crossed into oncoming traffic into the westbound lane, where it struck a Pontiac. The Pontiac caught fire upon collision.

According to police, both drivers of the vehicles were taken to the hospital with severe injuries and the passenger in the Saturn vehicle was killed.
