Rain causes collisions across Windsor

A car accident is causing backups for traffic trying to get onto E.C. Row Expressway from  Lauzon Parkway.

The accident happened in the westbound on-ramp. Police said there are no injuries. Its the second accident this afternoon in the same area.

There was also an accident today on Lauzon Parkway at South Service Road. Firefighters had to extricate one person from a vehicle following that crash, but there were only minor injuries.

There was also a fender bender around 2 p.m. at E.C. Row and Jefferson Boulevard. That has been cleared.

There was another collision about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Assumption and Marentette, where crews had to extricate a motorist from a vehicle.

The motorist was transported to hospital.
