Greg Monforton Calls for Investigation into Highway 3 Following Head-on Crash

Windsor lawyer Greg MonfortonGreg Monforton is calling for an inquest into Highway 3, the scene of a head-on collision where his client, Nahim Ibrahim, was seriously injured.

Ibrahim, a 45-year-old Lakeshore resident, was involved in a serious auto accident on July 15, 2015. His vehicle was hit by a couple from Colorado driving in a grey car. The grey car, headed in the opposite direction, swerved off the road and then into oncoming traffic.

Ibrahim barely had time to hit the brake and remembers the accident for about a second before the two vehicles collided. His vehicle caught fire and two Good Samaritans helped him escape the fiery collision.

The female driver of the other vehicle died at the scene while her passenger was recently listed in critical condition at a local hospital.

Monforton is representing Ibrahim and has been contacted by three other families who lost loved ones in auto accidents on the same stretch of Highway 3.

I am astonished that so many fatalities continue to occur on this stretch of highway, Monforton said.

Monforton is calling for a Coroners Inquest into the causes of these fatal accidents. Additionally, he believes it is time for the road to be examined to determine what can be done to prevent further, similar tragedies.

The experienced lawyers at Greg Monforton & Partners have represented dozens of clients who have been injured or whose family members were wrongfully killed in a motor vehicle accident. We believe that negligent drivers need to be held accountable for their actions. In this case, it is road developers and the transportation department that should be held responsible for failing to recognize the dangers of Highway 3.
