We are honoured to announce that founding partner Greg Monforton has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Inspiration 100 Association, an exclusive group of community-minded leaders committed to supporting the 100 Endowment Fund held at the Windsor Essex Community Foundation.
Originally a part of the Foundation, Inspiration 100 has developed into its own association with its own policies and bylaws that allow it to create a legacy of giving for present and future generations.
Each of the 100 members of the association commit to financially supporting the fund over the next decade. During that time, the funds are held in perpetuity and the interest earned from the investment is donated to community organizations in the form of grants. Members of the association have a direct say in where and how the funds are awarded.
Monforton was appointed to the Board of Directors at the association’s recent Inspiration 100 Association Annual Member Meeting held on Sept. 13. At the meeting, the association also awarded four $5,000 grants to the following organisations:
- The Downtown Mission
- Windsor-Essex Care for Kids Foundation
- Neonatal Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus
- Victim Services of Windsor & Essex County
