The Brain Injury Association of Windsor & Essex County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of those in the community who have been affected by an acquired brain injury. The organization focuses on education, awareness and support for this important group of individuals.
Approximately 50,000 Canadians suffer from an acquired brain injury every year, and in Ontario, 44 people sustain a brain injury every day.
